Laboratory
Edwards Deming is credited with two quotes that emphasize the importance of laboratory services to support Paradigm’s engineering services: “In God We Trust—Everyone Else Bring Data” and “The ultimate purpose of collecting the data is to provide a basis for action or a recommendation.” Whether we are looking for the strength properties of concrete, the compressibility characteristics of a soil, the relative humidity of a slab, or the density of a sprayed fire-resistive material, accurate, repeatable test data must be developed in the laboratory. Paradigm’s laboratory, staffed with skilled technical professionals working under controlled conditions and using appropriately-calibrated test equipment, is accredited to national and international standards by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) in geotechnical and construction materials. A2LA is the only independent, non-profit, internationally-recognized accreditation body in the United States and their accreditation demonstrates competence and integrity to both our clients and Paradigm’s engineering staff.
